Do you know a member of staff or a team in college that’s Brilliant?  Then Brilliant @ Blackburn College Staff Awards is a way for you to get involved by nominating staff and teams you think deserve to be recognised in 2015-16.

A second opportunity is now open for you to make nominations of staff and teams.  Nominations can be made from Monday 25th April to Friday 6th May.  There are 8 categories and you can nominate in the categories that are relevant to you:

If you are studying as a Further Education student you can nominate the Best FE Teacher, the Best Support Staff, the Best FE team and the Best Support Team.

If you are studying in Higher Education you can nominate the Best HE Teacher, the Best Support Staff, the Best HE team and the Best Support Team.

If you are an Apprentice you can nominate, the Best Assessor, the Best Support Staff, the Best Workplace Learning Team and the Best Support Team.

You do not need to nominate in all the categories relevant to you, just the ones where you know a staff member or a team is Brilliant.

If you nominated staff or teams in the first round of nominations, please do not repeat the same nomination again.  These nominations are already part of the process so do not need to be repeated.  However, you are welcome to make further nominations should you wish to do so.

All staff/teams who are nominated will be notified and those that make it through the panel and onto the shortlist will be invited to the Brilliant @ Blackburn College awards ceremony and lunch on Tuesday 24th May 2016. All finalists will receive a trophy and the overall winner will receive a trophy and £100 in high street vouchers.

To nominate staff/teams, click on the link, scroll down and click the ‘I’m a Student’ button, and complete the form, it’s as simple as that: http://www.blackburn.ac.uk/staff-awards  All students who submit nominations will be put in a prize draw to win a high street voucher, so don’t forget to add your name to the form if you want to be entered.

This is your opportunity to ensure your teachers and support staff are recognised for their outstanding contribution to college, so please get involved.
